How to make these flowers.....

A lot of people have asked me how I make these homemade flowers. I took a few photos and posted instructions on how to make them here: http://www.pawsonscrapbooking.com/cgi-bin/bb/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=184;t=10186;st=0

If you have any questions just leave a comment and I'll try and answer the best I can.

FYI the stamp I mainly used is by Embossing Arts Co. and I bought many many years ago. I did a quick search on the internet and I don't think they are still making stamps. The good thing is that this technique works with other flower stamps or punches.

Also, here is a tutorial for my other type of homemade flowers (first photo shown).

I am so excited!!! Lookie Lookie!!

http://www.upsydaisydesigns.com/

Hot Chocolate & Spirit are the two new lines coming out just in time for Christmas. A package should be hitting my mail box next week so I can start my design team work for December!!! I am so excited about this!!!!!

I have the best hubby......

Ok, I don't know what it is about this page but I am so pleased with it... my fingers were just TWITCHING to add more but I wouldn't let myself... I really wanted this one to be about the journaling.

Shhh.....I never admit it to him but.... I love how he tells me that it’s bedtime. I love hearing him sing in the car, especially to American Pie. I love Sunday because he has the day off work. I love that he got so excited about Cricut’s Design Software and Sure Cuts A Lot that he learned how to use it first and then taught me. I love when he talks about world events. I love that he downloads all my favourite shows so I can watch them from the comfort of my scrapbook room. I love how excited he gets over ice cream. I love how he always skips stones and makes sand castles at the beach. I love how when he’s craving sweets he’ll bake a cake. I love how he values women’s rights and how he always says ‘if women were in charge, the world would be a better place’. I love how he cooks a turkey dinner just as good as me, including gravy and stuffing. I love how he always kisses me good-bye, even if I’m upset with him. I love how he still uses the wallet I bought for him when I was 16. I love how he always wears two different coloured socks - on purpose. I love that he still takes a peanut butter sandwich on his lunch everyday. I love that he enjoys eating cereal for supper. I love when he bursts out laughing. I love how much he loves kitty cats. I love that he takes bubble baths. I love that he already
knows exactly how I feel but laughs and teases me when I try to tell him. I love how much he loves me.

Wedding Layouts

Here are the beginning of the layouts from the photos of my sister, Jocelyne's wedding. It was a beautiful affair back in August but I'm glad all that work is over...oh my!!! :D My sister Beth and I made all those crazy big cakes...that a whole lotta cake!!!!

cards, cards, cards!!!

Here are a few cards that I made. The clear cards are made with flexible cutting mats from the Dollarama. The brilliant Cindy Stevens from Paws on Scrapbooking made a fabulous mini album from these cutting boards - totally innovate. It's now one of my favourite things to make cards from. The 4's on the cards are for my nephew, who just turned 4 (Happy Birthday Keaton!) and for Larissa's 4th bday which isn't until January (but I'm well prepared) .

Prima Build a Book

Here is my first attempt at a clear acrylic album. I used lots of photo pens to doodle the edges and staz-on ink as well. Almost all the products here are Prima including the actually Prima Build a Book pages. There are three different styles of pages used in this book. The whole point of the Build a Book is to make a custom book to fits your needs. I called this book One Fine Day and it's all photos from walk Larissa and I went on in September. There is one page which I particularly like... Larissa has some dried grass seeds in her hands and is trying to feed the birds by holding her arms up and yelling 'her birdies...come eat' LOL. Needless to say no birdies came to eat. Prima is hosting a contest and the first prize is a whoppping $600 in Prima goodies...oh la la!!!

These Shoes

I snapped this photo of Larissa's feet while she was sitting in a John Deere wagon at the apple orchard. When she saw me working on this layout she said 'what you doing? where my face... where am I? LOL

Journaling reads: hmmm....I don't know what it is about this photo but I just love it! It makes my heart smile...perhaps it reminds me of the sweet innocence of a child. Maybe it goes a little further back to my childhood when i would wear little shoes like this. It makes me want to keep you little forever so I can dress you in sweet lil shoes like this. Larissa '08

Paws on Scrapbooking October DT Reveal

Lots of goodness in October DT kit!! Jenni Bowlin, Making Memories, Pink Paislee.
1. Blessings Abound. An impromtu photo shoot at the Walmart LOL! I had my camera in my purse (as always) and when Rissy saw these pumpkins she hopped in front of them and told me to take her picture. Can you tell she's used to having her photo snapped a lot! The flowers on this are made by moi...I'll post directions on how to make them soon!
2. This is a layout to document what a wiggly, squiggly, floppy little girl I have... man she squirms a lot when it's time to get her photo taken with anyone holding her :)
3. Skipping stones at Victoria Park, Charlottetown.
4. It's her kissy face - LOL... I had to do a layout with her making this face. I get this face at least once during each photo shoot!! Notice that I dug out my paper crimper!!! GASP! I used my paper crimper more for these projects than I've ever used it before. So glad to be getting my monies worth...even it is years after the fact :) The hearts on this layout were made by stamping a heart stamp with white Staz-on ink on acetate and then layering that over cardstock.
5. Live, Laugh, Learn... just a quite little inspiration wall hanging for my kitchen or craft room :) The butterfly is stamped with Staz-on ink and then coloured with a photo pen (red). (Autumn Leaves swirls)....and more crimping here :)

Prima's Build a Page

Prima Marketing posted a sketch on their website which I gave a whirl. I liked it so much that I made two pages from it. Larissa is thoroughly enjoying this kitty mask from the dollar store :) I LOVE the b&w photo in the centre...even framed it for my livingroom. The second layout is her playing out in our front yard in front of the wild rose bushes (which I plan on digging up some year soon since they are taking over!!)
